Nature-based Integration: connecting communities with/ in nature
Case Studies

Integration is the multi-directional process of interaction and adaptation that occurs when migrants settle in new places.

Our case studies are:

  • London Borough of Haringey
  • Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (CNE)
  • Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council

Nature-based integration focuses on the role of the natural environment (e.g. parks, woodlands) as both a site of engagement among migrants and non-migrants and as a meaningful source of connection in and of itself.
